How the Technology Works

You don’t need to be an electrician to protect your home from dirty electricity. STETZERIZER® Filters are designed to be simple, safe, and highly effective. Based on a century of proven power engineering, our filters take industrial-grade technology and make it accessible for your living room, bedroom, or office.

How to Use the STETZERIZER® System

Step ONE:

Measure Your Environment

View Full Instruction Guide

Plug it in

Simply plug the meter into any standard wall outlet.

Read the number

The meter will instantly display a number in Graham-Stetzer (GS) units. This number tells you exactly how much dirty electricity is present on that circuit.

Know the goal

Ideally, you want the reading to be under 50 GS units. Anything over 50 means you have elevated levels of electrical pollution.

Step TWO:

Install the Filters

Once you know where the dirty electricity is highest, it’s time to filter it out.

Plug in a filter

Take a STETZERiZER® Filter and plug it directly into the same outlet (or an outlet on the same circuit) where you got a high reading.

Re-measure

Plug your Microsurge Meter back in. You should immediately see the GS units drop significantly.

Add more if needed

If the reading is still above 50 GS units, plug a second filter into the same room or circuit until the number drops into the safe zone.

Tips for Filtering Your Home

Start At the Source

The highest levels of dirty electricity are usually found near entertainment centers (TVs, gaming consoles), home offices (computers, printers), and kitchens (smart appliances).

The “Home Kit” Approach

An average-sized home typically requires about 20 filters to completely clean the electrical environment. We recommend starting with a STETZERiZER® Home Kit, which includes the meter and enough filters to cover a standard house.

Keep Them Plugged In

The filters require zero maintenance. Once they are plugged in and your meter reads under 50 GS units, simply leave them alone to enjoy a continuously clean environment.

No Wiring Required

There is no need to hire an electrician or rewire your house. The filters plug into standard outlets and go to work instantly.

Understanding Common Misconceptions

There is a lot of confusing information and misleading marketing surrounding electromagnetic interference (EMI) and dirty electricity. We believe you deserve the facts. Below, we address the most common questions and debunk the myths about what filters can and cannot do.

No, a whole-house filter is not a complete solution. While it can help reduce electrical pollution entering your home from the utility grid, it does nothing to stop the dirty electricity generated inside your home.

Modern electronics—such as computers, smart appliances, dimmer switches, and LED lighting—use switching power supplies that continuously generate high-frequency electrical noise on your home’s wiring. The only scientifically validated way to mitigate this is to measure the pollution at each outlet using a Stetzerizer Microsurge Meter and install localized filters directly at the source.

No. You may see products marketed as “power savers” that claim to correct your home’s power factor and slash your electric bill. This is a well-known marketing gimmick.

Residential utility meters bill you for real power consumed, not power factor. While our filters do optimize the flow of electricity, they will not noticeably change your monthly bill. Stetzerizer filters are engineered for one specific, vital purpose: to remove biologically harmful high-frequency transients from your electrical lines to protect your health and sensitive electronics.

We deliberately avoid plug-through designs for safety reasons. While some competitor brands offer filters with a built-in outlet for convenience, this introduces significant electrical hazards.

Allowing users to plug heavy loads (like space heaters or vacuums) directly into a filter risks overloading the internal circuitry. Combining a high-frequency filtering capacitor with a load-bearing pass-through outlet in a small plastic housing can create excessive heat and potential fire risks. We prioritize strict adherence to safety standards and UL listings over minor conveniences.

This is a scare tactic often used by competitors selling alternative products. All electrical devices create a small, localized magnetic field when operating. However, the field generated by a properly functioning Stetzerizer filter is microscopic and drops off entirely within a few inches of the wall outlet.

The biological benefits of eliminating pervasive, high-frequency kilohertz (kHz) transients—which radiate throughout your entire room—far outweigh a negligible magnetic field located right at the wall receptacle.

We strongly advise against guessing how many filters you need based on the size of your home. Dirty electricity levels are dictated by the specific electronic devices plugged into your circuits, not by square footage
.
A small apartment packed with computers, dimmer switches, and smart TVs may require more filters than a large, older home with minimal electronics. The only accurate way to protect your home is to measure it. Use the Stetzerizer Microsurge Meter to read the Graham-Stetzer (GS) units on a circuit, and add filters until the reading drops to a safe level (below 50 GS).

Not at all. Dave Stetzer and Dr. Martin Graham are the pioneers who discovered, defined, and quantified the biological impacts of dirty electricity. Stetzerizer filters are the original, scientifically engineered solution designed specifically to target the exact frequencies that harm human health
.
Many competitor products use generic, off-the-shelf capacitors. These inferior designs can improperly shunt energy to the neutral wire, creating harmonic distortion that travels throughout the house and damages sensitive equipment
. Stetzerizer products are the only filters backed by statistically significant results published in peer-reviewed medical journals.

See It Work in Real Time In Your Home

Watch as a single STETZERiZER® Filter is plugged into a standard outlet and immediately begins removing high-frequency pollutants from the wiring. No tools. No electrician. Just plug it in and watch the numbers drop.
